Our Story
Purely organic. Purely Kenyan. Founded with love by Brenda Cheptoo.
The Beginning
Shosho's Kiondo was born from a deeply personal desire — a commitment to nurturing life through the power of real, unprocessed food. Founder Brenda Cheptoo noticed how difficult it was to consistently source clean, organic produce in Nairobi, and decided to do something about it.
The name Kiondo — meaning woven basket in Swahili — represents our mission perfectly. A kiondo is a vessel for nourishment, hand-crafted and filled with care. That's exactly what we curate for every one of our customers.
Every product in our kiondo is hand-selected, organically grown, and delivered with intention. We partner with Githurai's finest vegetable growers, Kenchic for eggs, and Albert Meadows for premium mushrooms — building relationships rooted in trust and shared values.
